Llama trekking - walking with the llamas

If you love walking and are passionate about New World Camelis, then with us you are in the right place! Every Wednesday we offer a half-day llama trekking tour along a scenic path with panoramic views that leads to the world famous earth pyramids of the Ritten Plateau.

We start from the Kaserhof, our llamas fully equipped with pack-saddles and bags, then proceed along the path surrounded by the unique landscape of the Dolomites. At the foot of the earth pyramids we stop for a typical “Marende”, a quick taste of some of our typical home-made products: brown bread, “Schuttelbrot” (a type of cracker), Kaminwurzen (smoked sausages), “Speck” (smoked bacon), local wine and apple juice.

Throughout the entire walk each participant is responsible for leading one of our fifteen very tame and well trained stallions on a leash.
